I've only just noticed! The Union Jack moves whilst my poor St George cannot even manage a flutter (even though we won a very important sporting event over the weekend). Is there a reason for this?
yep. lee hasn't yet had time to upload the moving versions. This is either because of 1) he is too busy with work. 2) he's a lazy so and so or 3) he was abducted by aliens I prefer option 3 with a hint of option 2
So let me get this right. The aliens abduct him and this mysteriously gives him the power to wave lots of flags? Wow!!!!! p.s. I haven't been able to make more than a few cursory visits for the last few weeks. Every time I look loads more people have joined and I don't stand a chance of catching up on the threads. drinks all round!!!
Oh Hugh it always gives me a warm little glow when I see any one of you Scots flying the Union Jack (not for too much longer if Sir Sean is correct eh?) . Maybe I should have waited until after Saturday's match otherwise I might just get my comeuppance!!!!!
I'm the same CT, can't commit much time at present. Hey Hugh, grab a St George, change the colours and then turn it through 45 degrees and you'll come close...or not...:becky:
Flags Sorry Andy not good enough for me - Scotsman mate need my own flag. You have yours and Nana has got hers. Where is mine? Nana, are we fighting for the wooden spoon on Saturday? Regards Hugh
Nahhhhh! We've won two games so I reckon it's yours for the taking this time!!! Nice to see Italy getting it together and brilliant to see Wales on the up again (my son's team). It is so much more interesting if there isn't a dominant team.
anything involving a ball, whatever shape, and a load of grown men or women who should get proper jobs, is not my game
I have not been paying attention obviously. Unfortunately you are right and we will probably get the spoon. However, if we beat you that will do me. Regards Hugh
And to think that I was too shy to admit that is how I feel about France!!!! .... then Scotland .... then Ireland On a more serious note we had a very heavy discussion after we beat France (did I mention that before?) about whether sport (particularly supporting national teams) reinforces differences and prejudices, or whether bridges are built because of a common love of some sort of prowess. What do you think? Kyt have you ever been to a proper match? I hated watching sport on tv, grudgingly attended my husband and son's matches, but became absolutely hooked when I saw my first proper live game. Now that I am older I prefer the comfort of my lounge to the stands! Kitty - you little devil you!!!
No, I only share my brilliance with people I like. :becky: You do have a point, Hugh. Had a quick google for "waving scottish flag avatar" and, believe it or not, this discussion came up about three-quarters of the way down the first page! No, Kyt doesn't like balls...
