is a National Treasure This has had to be the nicest thing I have seen for quite some time. And the British Library have listed it as a National Treasure so it will now be conserved. Wonderful.
Lovely to see some of their history preserved. I have always thought their reputation as middleclass do-gooders etc., ill deserved. I was a member in a small Sussex village many years ago when we first married. They were a great bunch of women who did lots for the village. There were many interesting and varied speakers at the meetings and I will probably give the Devon branch a whirl if ever we get there!!!.
