OK, a couple of you know I have been stressed over a piece of coursework at uni. Nothing unusual there. However this one was dropped on my head with a 3 week deadline, no real viable clue what any of us are really doing, and no lectures on which to base the work.
I got the first draft in today (with 8 days to spare), and my lecturer seems fairly happy, just a few tweeks which i expect. Now he forwarded it to a colleague at another campus who is dealing with the project, who emailed me with what he wants in it. This is what i got:

"I suggest [maybe batting in the dark, I forget their proforma guidance]
hit directly with `to what local area this report relates.
do they not want core stat material too?

so go straight to a 2 para on Peak, also identifying to where this
report relates, with some concise detail- and why significant/relevant
might include [you made me think of this re Mills in first para] DVMWHS
    as wider context.

I do like the link in with habitus- and follow thru briefly later as to
how adequately this is delivered thru what is identified and happening
    in SMoorlands.

Might also be a small addition on the Moors for th Future work and our
pilot project [Duncan can fwd 4-page glossy report, on MFM website] on
`visitor responsiblity and vulnerable environments`. Duncan- or
Lucinda- may simply cut and paste as relevant.

And perhaps, overall, some summary for this local area SM of how
leisure and L `relate`, with an overall, concise evluative commentary,
    referencing evidence..."

So, anyone understand a word of this?

Must be one of those nutty British Uni professors who wrote that, he must also be a doctor coz no-one understands what the hell he's going on about. Personnally i would take it to your lecturer and ask him to make some sense of it.

Be intrigued to see what your lecturer makes of it, Makes me glad to be too old to be educated any more.

Ooohhhh I do hope that was a rhetorical question!!!

& from 51Highland - Makes me glad to be too old to be educated any more.
There were some 80+ year olds on my OU Courses and they gave a lot of the youngsters (of which I wasn't one) a run for their money, but I do know what you mean. I'm so glad I was educated when I was!

Hope your lecturer can sort it out for you Kitty
    Best wishes

Kitty, 51H raises a good point. Run it passed your lecturer and ask him "WTF?". If he doesn't sort it out sufficently, get the contact details of that tool that made the comments and speak to him...and take notes while he's talking!

I think we could understand a few of the points (blunts) he was making but much of it belonged in Bletchley Park.

Seemed to me like he was on his 6th or 7th scotch.
