The National Park Service has a site which details current plans for all National Parks. The public may review them and post comments. Visit:

    http://parkplanning.nps.gov

You can scroll through a list of parks, click on the ones that interest you and learn about recent projects. I just received an email stating that the biggest threat to Valley Forge right now is the white-tailed deer herd residing within the park. Gettysburg had a problem with deer several years ago. Sadly, the deer population can cause havoc at historic sites. The encroaching development is really the root of the problem, I think. The wildlife loses it's natural habitat and seeks refuge in protected areas. It's a sad cycle.

In any case, I think everybody on this forum will find something of interest on the website listed above.

    Regards,

    Pam
