The best thing was when they made it illegal to smoke on airliners.
I couldn't see the flight attendants through the clouds of smoke.

I voted "other" due to trying the other four!

Nothing's written in stone, Andy. Just need to find the motivation, and the self discipline.

Well, the motivation is there - books, books, books, books, books, books, books, books.

I voted for ease off them and see how you go. If you have 10 a day, try for 9 instead, that type of easing off.

Ha, I've gone from about 30 a day to just a pack of 20 a day in the last 10 days or so.

Trouble is there is always the temptation and opportunity to smoke more again if you are having a bad day.

I can thoroughly recommend the tablets. You set a date to stop 2-3 weeks away, start taking the tablets, each day you are mentally counting down but somehow the cigarettes just don't taste the same, until D day arrives and for me it was almost a relief to say, that's it.

You're on your way then. Still not 9 a day though...:becky:

ha, every day is a bad day...especially trying to keep you unruly lot in order :>

Actually I don't think it's fair to compare my consumption with others. Most people sleep for 8 hours out of 24. I sleep on average 2. So my pro rota consumption allowance should be higher.

I do intend to see the surgery nurse about options, and then decide. So I shall ask about the tablets. Thanks CTNana

If you've gone up, a spanking is in order. Well, if Kitty's involved as your smoking controller, it'll be a walloping.

Spanking? Oh right i should have finished reading the rest of the sentence. Pity.

Well I'm still considering it, and the way things are going I will probably give it up. I know it's a cliche but 1st January is probably the best time. New year new start and all that guff. As I'm not one for resolutions this will probably just a convenient time to start (or rather stop).

    I'll see how it goes.

    Oh thanks Lee! :becky:

I have been warned of dire consequences with a fire hose and that sounds scary enough for me to stop.

Ironic I should have a fag in my hand whilst I write this though
