Annie Thanks for that - fascinating. However, the toothpaste still looks usable, once defrosted. The Customer Service lady that I spoke to when I telephoned to enquire sounded as if she was making it up as she went along, with her vague "The, um, makeup of the paste sort-of, er, changes when it's frozen". The next step may be to sacrifice a partly used tube to freeze it and then defrost it to see what happens. Before being accused of harbouring an obsession about frozen toothpaste, I have to emphasise that if there wasn't a note saying Do not freeze on the tube, I'd never have thought of the idea. Gareth
