As I mentioned in my intro thread my dad was in Mozambique back in the 60's in the Portuguese colonial war when the colonies finally get their independence. I recall my dad telling me a story in which his jeep passed over a land-mine and blew up and one of his friends died, he just got lucky... You had relatives in the war too? Any of these marking stories you wish to share?
