    Yves Du Manoir Aug. 11 1904 - Jan. 2 1928


    Rugby player, Aviator. Born of noble origins, Yves Frantz Marie Pelly’s parents were a Viscount and Viscountess. He excelled in many sports but is most renowned for his skill at Rugby. He died in a military flight training accident while piloting a Caudron 59 aircraft. The Stade Yves Du Manoir in the Paris suburb of Colombes was named in his honor.

    Yves du Manoir, one of the most brilliant and talented French players of the 20s, who sadly died in 1928, aged 24, in a plane crash - he was a pilot in the Air Force.
