Thought I would share some photos of my recent trip to Ypres. Visited lots of places including hill 62, the pool of peace, menin gate at 8pm,Railway dugouts, Essex Farm (John mccrae), Langemark and Tyne cot cemeteries and the flanders fields museum in the cloth hall at ypres. Also, my great Grandfathers grave at Bois Grenier. Took 50 year 9 pupils with us (some of them roughnecks) who behaved impeccably throughout. If you can go, do it. Gives you a helpful perspective to use in everyday life.

Key to photos 233 -sanctuary wood trenches. 242 - Tyne cot. 238 - Pool of peace. 251 - Brooding soldier statue nr Langemark. 258 -Langemark mass grave (26 thousand).
