WW1 Aussie gas helmet

    Not as bad as the first one...It had to be peed on to activate it and had but a thin window to see through.


    I also have the "SBR" (small box respirator) in my collection...I'll put some pics up of the various types and in use (modern usage) apres Xmas, when the visitors have gone, and I can get at my kit again!

    Should have pointed out, all Empire troops used a baseline of British equipment...Although there was an amount of Tribal Distinction, an awful lot was VERY similar.

    The Hypo Hood, PH helmet and SBR were mainly manufactured in Britain, even an amount of the ones used by the Americans...
