Worst destruction of the war

    I've always felt that Sherman's March caused the worst destruction of the entire war. That's when a lot of the atrocities against civilians were committed and caused a lot of damage to the south. War is never pretty but soldiers aren't supposed to attack the citizenry.

    I completely agree with this. If anyone decides to do a "salt the land" campaign then they should just burn. Innocents should never be the ones to get hurt when they are not even fighting. There are rules to war which makes things like this unacceptable.
