Austro-Hungarian fleet and the World War I in the Adriatic Histories of World War I Naval Combat tend to concentrate on the great fleet battles in the North Sea, such as Battle of Jutland, Battle of Dogger Bank, or on the struggle against the U-boat in the Atlantic. Less well known is the war in the Adriatic where the Habsburg Empire of Austria-Hungary had a navy consisting of four dreadnoughts, near 20 other battleships, destroyers, and eighteen submarines. Most of them were scrapped after the war. http://www.univ.rzeszow.pl/WW1/World War I in the Adriatic.html
