    This is one of a series of posts to mark the international Rugby players who served in, and survived, The Great War. If anyone has further information on the men concerned, I’d be most grateful if it could be added to the thread.

    Lewis, William played for Wales

    Internationals: 1 : 1925 F+

    William Lewis was born in 1899 at Morriston

    Played as a Flanker for: University College Aberystwyth, Swansea, Llanelli

    Profession: Schoolmaster

    War service: Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve

    He died in February 1927 in Swansea.
