Hi to who ever is willing to help! I am in the process of researching family history and my mother's adoptive father appears to have been in WWI. The only thing on the certificate is that he was part of the RH & RFA. His last name at that time was slightly different from what it was when he adopted my mother. I have no information or demographics on him prior to signing up and was hoping if I could discover some military information about him more doors will open. Is there any place where you can just enter the badge number (it's on a certificate) and it will go directly to that person? When I go to Ancestry I can find others with his name but not his regiment. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.
