Heres an unusual photo it's the funeral procession of the German crew shot down near Serres (54), by Capt. Georges Guynemer N of the Squadron 3 (32nd victory) March 16 1917.

It was the Uffz August Reichenbach and Wilfried Obltn Buchdrucker the FLAbt 12. Their plane, a type C Albatros, fell near the farm Foucrey (east village).

The photo was taken March 18 1916 - the officiating priest was WO Stephen of the CHR, Franciscan Father - the second coffin is barely visible on the left of the image. Both airmen were buried against the wall of the village cemetery.
