Was the US reluctant to get involved with what was happening in Cambodia because of Vietnam? Millions of people were murdered because of the Khmar Rouge. What's the best way to resolve a conflict that involves the murder of innocent people?
I honestly do not know the answer to that. Unfortunately the world is not a simple, straightforward place, and evil is everywhere. Innocent people should not be killed like that, but it's not any one nation's job to police the world and interfere in everyone else's business. I would like to see those who lead such actions brought to justice, but at the same time I don't think it's fair to our soldiers to make them go to other lands and attempt to fix other people's problems when we don't even understand their culture very well and won't be able to offer the best solutions due to lack of cultural understanding.
