What impact would the TA 152 have made in bigger numbers earlier in the war? What's your opinion of the aircraft? Also any info would be a bonus.
    Thanks.

To be honest, I think it would have been better to use the resources for further development and production of the Me 262 in its intended role as a fighter. It was faster and had a better rate of climb, though not ceiling. As for the 152's recon version, the high alltitude Ju 86R would have been better.

On paper the aircraft looks and sounds great, but if it had been available earlier it would still have been flying at B-17 heights - where the sheer numbers of protecting Mustangs would probably have mitigated any advantages

I think Kyt hits on a most important point here - the sheer numbers of escorts to and from the target and, if released, hitting the airfields on their way home.

As the ultimate development of the Fw 190, I don't think it could have come along much earlier but that's thinking logically. I think, as with the Fw 190 when it first made its presence felt, the earlier introduction of the Ta 152 would have been countered by something after an initial 'reign of terror'.
