Hello all! I'm an amateur military historian from the Scottish Highlands and I enjoy researching RAF history, in particular of squadrons 15 and 159, which were the WW2 squadrons of my grandfather S/L John Sutcliffe, DFM. I'm also interested in Sqdn 44, which was the squadron of my grandmother's first fiancé F/O Alexander Gerrie, who was sadly K.I.A. during the infamous Augsburg raid on 17/04/42. I also have a keen interest in WW1 battles and trench warfare and enjoy reading widely on these subjects. It's great to have joined this site and I'm looking forward to learning lots more .
