    Corporal Thomas Harris photographed in England (c December 1917) during convalescence from a shrapnel wound. Not long afterwards he returned to active duty in France where he was promoted to Sergeant.

    He was awarded the Military Medal in April and the Victoria Cross in August, 1918. He was killed in the last action, aged 26.
