Well the weather has been dismal today, I've checked the forcast and it's still dull but hopefully not wet! I hope for a dry day and I can get out for a couple of hours.

Eyup Paul! Got a couple for you yesterday, took fookin ages too! I was walking up and down in my heavy biking gear and great claud hopping boots, I found some guys working there and asked them if they had a map, they did and pointed me in the right direction, half an hour later I'd still not found them when the guy I asked came up to me and apologised saying he had the map the wrong way round!

Anyway here you go mate, weather permitting I'll have another ride out tomorrow.

Gav, Thank you very much. I know how long it can take to find a grave as it has taken me a long time to find several that I was seeking.

    Cheers

    Hi Paul

Just a thought? I'm a member of a couple of motorbike forums, I post regularly on them both, I put a post up yesterday how I stumbled across this site and saw yourself and Spidge and what you were doing regarding the headstones of the fallen soldiers. Suprisingly I felt good about helping out, one of the lads suggested I put a link up to your search, will that be ok with you?

Then I had another thought? One of the sites is huge, global. I could post a thread and link up on there too and I think you'll get most parts of the world covered.

Let me know and I'll act on what you say.

Quite okay by me Gav, and a lovely gesture - Thank you.

My Aussie lads are buried in 67 countries which is quite amazing. I should put a country list in the first post of the thread.

    Cheers

    Hi Paul

Glad to see you're getting there slowly but surely, not sure if you'll remember me, but I collected a few photos for you and Spidge in Yorkshire, England back in November of last year, I posted up a link of a trip I did with the missus to Normandy on the bike I had too.

Well the bike I had was stolen last November outside of work one evening, to say I was gutted is an understatement. Nuts and bolts I know, but I'd been all over Europe on that beast and some scrotes had it away in a breath.

I've now got another bike, same make and model, but a year newer so if there are any outstanding places in and around Yorkshire (or possibly Scotland as I'll be heading up there in a few weeks) give me a shout.

    All the best

    DG

    Pride and Joy

    Hi Gav,

I had that empty feeling when I had one of my old cars stolen. I hope your bike was insured. I have an all wheel drive V8 now (6 years old) that is my pride and joy. If someone nicked that I would be gutted.

    Good to see you back.

It was not that long ago that persons found guilty of stealing your mode of transport were hung, now they get a slap on the wrist and are out on the street in as quick time as possible that the authorities can get rid of them,
I know the feeling of loosing your car etc to a thief, I lost a good Landie many moons ago. I was gutted, still miss it as the current vehicle is just a rear wheel drive their are numerous places I would love to visit that are now off the list due to terrain.
Insurance is expensive however it is better than having to pay for a replacement vehicle out of your own bank account.
