Has anybody seen this? BBC NEWS | Entertainment | Clarkson stung after bank prank Quite apart from "how wrong can he be", it is the attitude of the bank, in not divulging who raised the Direct d Debit because of the Data Protection Act, which I find both incomprehensible and reprehensible. I was involved in a very small way in the implementation of the Data Protection Act. In neither word nor spirit was it ever intended to be (mis)used in this way. p.s. I resisted the puns on it being a Stig!!!!
What kind of idiot publishes their bank account details in a newspaper? I'm amazed how someone can set up a direct debit on an account that's not theirs. Sounds like a bank security issue.
I like him because he doesn't mind acting like a wally. And in this case he certainly got his just desserts. But his articles and programmes are always funny even if one doesn't agree with him.
always entertaining ill give you that. Shame that attack helicopter didn't actually use its machine guns on him though.
I think those three in Top Gear (Clarkson, May and Hammond - just in case you thought I meant their Mums as in a show this week) have the best job in the world! They are paid to do what lots of people fork out fortunes to do as hobbies and adventure holidays. I certainly wish I was 30 years younger and had the opportunity. I still think Jeremy's bank's response is disgraceful though!
In the words of Delboy, 'what a plonker'. I must agree though his programme 'Topgear' is awesome. Sniper eep:
