    It had to happen. Bar stewards. It's funny, amazing how much of our history and culture is affected by Hollywood...and yet the greater public keep coming back for more. We must be "entertained".

    Can you imagine if they did a remake of Huck Finn?

    There is 186 instances of Nigger in that.

    I still see it as altering history.

    Surely society is educated sufficiently to know that this was in the past and that it was predominantly a racist society.

    Oh Spidge, you do put too much faith on the "public". Ask them questions about the past and 90% will get it wrong or repeat the hollywoodised version of events.

    And there will always be some who will use it as ammunition for their own political games. Though I am disappointed that the name has been changed (something I always thought would happen), I would rather that than change any of the major historical facts. I do NOT want a whitewash like Valkyrie.
