In the event others have not read this book, I thought I'd pass it along. Its entitled Love and War in the Apennines, by Eric Newby, the English travel author. The book covers the author's adventures in Italy during the war. It is an absolute delight. I read it originally in my youth and then again in adulthood and couldn't put it down. Anyway, I just thought I'd pass this one along. Cheers friends.
