The Liddle Collection is a special archival collection based at Leeds University Library. It contains first hand experience accounts of the First and Second World Wars including: personal papers, oral histories, diaries, photographs, newspapers and artwork. All aspects of the history of the wars are covered including: army, navy and air force accounts, the role of women in the war and descriptions of individual campaigns such as Gallipoli and the home front. The website provides access to a summary guide of the collections which is arranged geographically and by subject. It is also possible to search the catalogues by keyword. Information on access conditions is provided.
