On 15th December 2022 a graveside service was held in West Lulworth, Dorset, UK. The service was to remember Sgt Jack Stephens, Royal Tank Regiment, who died 80 years ago to the day. Sgt Stephens was a welder in the workshop at Lulworth Army camp when on 14th December 1942 the camp was attacked by two FW 190 fighter bombers. Having dropped its bomb, one aircraft then hit the camp with 20mm cannon fire. The camp workshop took the most damage and Jack Stephens was hit in the head and died the next day.
