I am trying to locate information on my great uncle Joseph Edward Tomlinson who serve with the West York Regiment (service number 33862) and then the Royal Engineers (number 175715). He enlisted in May/June 1916 and served in France for two and a half years until he was hospitalized with septic poisoning before being discharged in 1919. I have tried military search sites and nothing comes up for my relative even when I type in his service number. Any information about him or where I can successfully find information about him would be greatly appreciated.
