Gareth Crabbie, John Edward OBE played for Scotland Internationals: 6 : 1900 W- ; 1902 I- ; 1903 W+ I+ (1t) ; 1904 E+ (1t) ; 1905 W- John Crabbie was born on 11 November 1879 Played as a Wing for: Edinburgh Academy, Edinburgh Academicals, Oxford University (Blue 1898-1901) Profession: Advocate War service: Second Lieutenant, 3rd (Perthshire) Battalion, Royal Highlanders (Black Watch) from 5 October 1914. Promoted to Lieutenant while Temporary Captain with effect from 12 August 1915. Remarks: Brother of George Ernest Crabbie – 1 cap. He died on 21 August 1937, in the Port of Montieth

John Edward Crabbie was born in 1879 in Edinburgh, Scotland He Scottish Rugby XV 1900 - 1905 in 1900 He married Cecilia Cochrane Turnbull daughter of Patrick Turnbull CA and Elizabeth Ann Coats in 1906 in Edinburgh He died in 1937 in Port of Menteith Perthshire Scotland. John Edward Crabbie became a Freemason in Edinburgh and later affiliated to Lodge Blairhoyle. He was installed as R.W.M of 792 in the year 1913 a post which he held until 1922. He also held the position of Provincial Grand Master of Perthshire West for twenty years.
