    Internationals: 15: 1889 W+ I+ ; 1890 W+ (1t 1c) I+ (1d) E- ; 1891 W+ (1t) I+ (3c) E+ ; 1892 W+ (1t 1c) I+ E- ; 1893 I= E+ (1d) ; 1894 I- E+ (2t)

    John Boswell was born on 16 February 1867

    Played as a Forward for: Rugby School, Loretto School, Oxford University (Blue 1885-1887), West of Scotland

    Profession: Writer to The Signet

    War service: Lieutenant Colonel, Royal Scots Fusiliers, Serbian Order of the White Eagle (4th class) (with swords), Gazetted 15 February 1917.

    Remarks: President of the Scottish Rugby Union 1898-1899. Territorial Decoration

    He died on 5 January 1948

    Oxford XV 1886, Boswell is rear row far right. Also his entry from Oxford University Roll of Service, Brasenose College.
