    i have a brass case made up of a base and a lid both howitzer cases top has brass turned handle.
    one is 4.5 howr 10-6-16 cpr12y and other is 4.5 howr 26-1-16 cpr52z which is the lid

    also have a wooden key turn mechanical ship by bassett-lowke ltd of northampton model makers. its 2 foot long

    First of all, what help do you need? I am going to take a leap and presume that you wish to know rarity and value. If there is another question, please ask.

    The brass case (ashtray) is an example of a class of craft commonly called "trench art". Soldiers and sailors sometimes manufactured items to fill in the spare time they had, perhaps waiting to go into combat. And it was not overly rare that spare brass might be re-worked into a decorative or functional item. Ashtrays were a common item, so I wonder if this was an ashtray, or perhaps a tobacco holder.

    The ship model is another example of a craft item.
