I'v just heard that a Curtiss SB2C Helldiver has been located in a reservoir South of San Diego, Calif. The plane was on a practice mission from a Carrier off the coast and the pilot is still living. Efforts are underway to recover the wreck.
Good news although I suspect the USN will claim it (and rightly so to some extent). A good addition to the survivors of this rare type.
