    I shall have a look up for him in a couple of books about that period but Intelligence Officers tend not to get much attention

    He would have been 72 in 1967; a bit old for much Bond-ish stuff. Clearly his age wasn't respected by the Egyptian secret police.

    66 Sqdn was a Sopwith Camel outfit based in Italy while he was a member.
