    Can anybody tell exactly whereabouts this monument is please ? ... I thought it said Hamel Monument :confused:

    Hamel is a small village on the Somme front line, a between Beaumont Hamel and Thiepval. (I've been to both those places, but don't really remember Hamel itself).

    The dying soldier appears to be wearing a French helmet, so it is presumably a local memorial rather than one erected by the British forces.
