Grandfather in Stalag VIIA

    Grandad was Thomas Roxburgh. I had checked the POW book at Fort George; it had him listed as RSF. That confused me as I had always associated him as a Cameron. He enlisted (twice) as a Cameron and lived at Whitefoord House ( a Veterans' 'hostel' in Edinburgh) as a Cameron. It seems that he probably spent the most turbulent time of his life - wounded, captured and intered for nearly a year - as a Fusilier!
