I am trying to research my grandfather John McMahon who got gassed in WW1, I do not have any military details about him and his name is quite common.
I do know that he received a pension until his death in 1935. He was in the what was originally a military hospital at Leopoldstown in Dublin, but they tell me
that they do not have any records. He is buried in a paupers grave with 7 others. Anybody got any ideas to help me?. I also research medals and I visit the
Archives regularly and am willing to help others.
