G/C Jack Richard "Benny" Goodman DFC AFC

As reported by Kyt in the Books thread for Five of the Many, Goodman died in August. May he rest in peace.

Steven Darlow has done a magnificent job of keeping his memory alive in Five of the Many, as well as for the other four veterans covered - Rupert Cooling, Joe Petrie-Andrews, Tony Iveson and Harry Hughes. Long may they be with us.

 

Can you imagine how many more memories would have been saved had the internet been available 20 years earlier?

 

Very sad thought.

 

I know I wish I had more time for interviews. Interviewees mention their mates who would be worth talking to but trying to find the time to do such a valuable thing is a juggle.

 

If only you had been that $15million winner, you would have plenty of time.
