Have a look at Project Gutenberg. There are several regimental books on WW1 listed which can be read online or downloaded

    Project Gutenberg is here: http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page

I haven't had a very thorough look, but I've already found the following

17th Highland Light Infantry Record of Service 1914-1918 (http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/20136)

The Story of the 6th Battalion, The Durham Light Infantry 1915-1918 (http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/16660)

The Doings of the Fifteenth Infantry Brigade 1914-1915 (http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/22074) [Yes, that is what the book is called!!)

The Story of the 2/4th Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry (http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/20395)

The War Service of the 1/4 Royal Berkshire Regiment (http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/22028)

The Fifth Leicestershire. A Record Of The 1/5th Battalion The Leicestershire Regiment, 1914-1919 (http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/17369)

The 23rd (Service) Battalion Royal Fusiliers (First Sportsman's) (http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/20377)

The Fifth Battalion Highland Light Infantry in the War 1914-1918 (http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/20250)

The Sherwood Foresters in the Great War 1914 - 1919 (http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/20527)

The Fife and Forfar Yeomanry 1914-1919 (http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/18468)

The Seventh Manchesters July 1916 to March 1919 (http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/18659)

There are probably several more as well hidden among its gems

Yep, great site for old books, and a worthy (or should that be 'wordy') project.

There are also a few books of letters from officers and soldiers, as well as more general WW1 books.

I'll try to combile a fuller list as I find them
