The Influenza epidemic of 1918 killed more people in one year than the Great War killed in four !

An excellent book on the subject ... but dealing mostly with US soldiers although very well researched ...

In memory of the 34 CEF soldiers who died on one voyage aboard ss CITY OF CAIRO during the Spanish Flu epidemic in 1918 whilst being transported to England. Similar numbers died on other transports and many of those who survived the journey fell ill on arrriving in England.
