Stoves? What do you mean by stoves? There are a wide variety of cheap, tin devices which could be termed with a stretch as "stoves". Give the amount of down-time and spare tin-cans, et cetera, any number of one-person stoves were made. Look in old Boy Scout manuals, circa 1920. Look in "Memoirs of a War Correspondent" by Richard Harding Davis. Look in any modern camping catalogue for the modern refined version of trench-stoves.
