Disease In Camps

    Do you guys think that their would of been a better way to deal with all the disease in the military camps and take care of it. I've heard that their we're many problems with disease and things like that so I think they could of saved many people by taking care of disease.

    Malnourishment was a major reason for the diseases which spread through the camps in epidemic proportions.

    This was particularly a problem in the South. With the blockade going, food was in scarce supply, and the Confederate army was virtually marching powered by little else than stale, moldy ship's biscuit (known as "hardtack")
