Hi can anyone point me in the right direction in finding military records for free.Iam after ww1 Devonshire 3rd Battalion records.Any help would be great.Cheers Lee
3rd battalion of any regiment is usually the training and discharge battalion. When you have found the battalion you want, you should check out National Archives and with luck the War Diaries battalion you are seeking may have been digitised - if so, its very cheap to download - only £3 for a complete set.
