The Commonwealth War Graves Commission is the UK government department which is concerned with providing information on the graves of servicemen from the Commonwealth. Its website offers details on the purpose, structure and current activities of the body. It also includes a list of its most recent press releases, vieo films and publications. There are also histories of specific battles such as the somme. However, the main feature of the site is the Debt of Honour Register which provides personal and service details and the location of the graves of over 1.7 million military dead from the first and second world wars from countries of the Commonwealth. It also lists over 60,000 civilian casualties from the second world war.
