Guadalcanal, Guam, Tarawa, Iwo Jima, Peleliu .... The Navajo code talkers took part in every assult the US Marines conducted in the Pacifc, during '42 - '45. They served in all six Marine divisions. The last of original Navajo Code Talkers passed away few days ago. Chester Nez was 92 and he was the last remaining of the original 29 Navajos recruited by the Marine Crops.
