I'm from eastern North Carolina. My brother and some of his friends like to go metal detecting. They have found things from the Civil War like bullets, buttons and parts of belt buckles. Their best finds have been down near Bentonville Battleground. Generals Sherman and Johnston fought there. I'm not even sure it's legal these days to go relic hunting, but they have access to some private lands nearby. I'm wondering what other artifacts people have found.
