Hey Guys! Newbie here so the cards behind the bar, help yourselves. I'm not really fanatical about WW2 but I have a keen interest which was stirred a couple of years ago. I was recovering from a knee op and all I watched was the discovery channel which was showing loads of WW2 stuff.

I did a tour of Normandy last year with the missus to pay my respects, it certainly made an impression on us both. Have a look here http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=378269&highlight=viva france

I stumbled across the forum whilst looking for war cemetaries in my area and saw a thread with a guy wanting some pics of some headstones, so I thought I'd join up and give the guy a hand and I'll have a ride out next week and get some snaps.

Hi DGee and welcome to the forum.

They say advertising is everything and I think they are correct.

If my Aussie lads were the ones you were looking at, let me know your area and I will update what I have outstanding.

    Cheers

    Geoff

    Hi Gav,

By my signature, I am collecting over 11,000 RAAF and Aussies in the RAF. What counties are you near?

I have about 70% of my UK requirements of 2800 in just over two years which is not bad considering I am doing it from 20,000 kms away.

Anyhow, your trip to France looked good. Your first cemetery was Etaples where I have two from WW1 and two from WW2 which I have already.

Any you can get for me near where you live, I would be most appreciative.

Welcome to the form DG, beware as Sniper will probably sting you for every single commonwealth/family/MOD grave in your area. Basically kiss your knees goodbye :D

    Leeds Photos - Yorkshire

    Hi DGee,

I do have a chap who has taken quite a lot for me in Yorkshire and is going to work on this list below which will complete my requirements there.

If there are any on the list below that you can achieve, let me know and I will get him to cross them off his list. I have not looked at their geographic location to Leeds however you would know at a glance.

Those in blue were Aussies in the RAF.

    Cheers

    Geoff

    Hi Spidge
I just live down the road from Yeadon, so that's not a problem. The others are a bit more far afield, but I will take time out to get some of them for you; York, Barmby, Selby, Pocklington.

My bike is in the garage in bits at the moment and the weather is shitty at the moment, but when all is back together and we get a break in the weather I'll take a ride out and get some pics for you.
