Capt Alexander Bruce Kynoch from No 37 Sqn RFC

    I can't find CWGC !! :(


    Alexander Bruce Kynoch was born in Essex in 05 Jan 1894.

    His Royal Aero Club Aviators Certificate (No. 3012) gives his address as Welbeck Lodge, Torrington Park, North Finchley. He took his flying test for grant of the certificate at the Military School, Brooklands, on 31 May 1916, in a Maurice Farman biplane

    Capt Alexander Bruce Kynoch from No 37 Sqn RFC (formerly Duke of Wellington's Regiment) was flying a BE 12 C3208, and Capt Henry Clifford Stroud of No 61 Sqn RFC (formerly Royal Engineers) was flying an SE 5a B679. The two aircraft collided over Shotgate on 7/8 March 1918.

    Capt A B Kynoch was awarded the 1914 Star, the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.

    Killed in action in England at midnight on March 7, 1918. Duke of Wellington Regiment and Royal Flying Corps. Served in Gallipoli, Egypt, Macedonia - Grave in the St Pancras and Islington Cemetery in north London
