It's a French-Breguet 14B.2 of the United States Air Service. The Breguet 14 was one of the Great War's best two seater aircraft, being both rugged and reliable. There were two versions, the Br 14A.2 was the artillery-observation variant, and the Br.14B.2 was the bomber (the '2' indicates a two-seater). The Br.14 was used by the French, Belgian and US Air Services during the War, and by a host of nations afterwards, including Brazil, Czechoslovakia, Greece, Poland, Siam, Spain, Sweden and Uruguay.
