The Battle of Manzikert is often seen as a turning point in the fate of the Byzantine Empire. After Arp Aslan defeated a Byzantine army, the Empire itself lost most of its territory at that time and only managed to regain parts of Anatolia.

If Manzikert had gone the other way, how might have the history of the region turned out?
