Hi I'm what they called a base brat eep:being raised on bases in Canada by a WW2 veteran whom was a prisoner of war in Germany. I thought growing up on bases was wild and wouldn't trade it for anything. I thought being raised by a prisoner of war was a little off the wall. I think this site will be very informative and may give some of us an insite to why the military guys are the way they are. I also think that no matter what war, or on what side they fought for, they will have a very interesting story to tell. Looking forward to joining a few chats.
Nice Site I like your site, you have alot of history there. I'm working on one as well and you can find it at A Memorial Obituary for War Veterans A site dedicated to war veterans Obituary canadian american english japanese german russian and more. I thought maybe guys like my dad, who always said the German people were nice but the Nazies were a crazy lot, would like a final resting place on the net where they can tell their story.
B17 That is interesting, my father was a tail gunner in a b17 until they got shot down over Germany. I'll see if I can get any info or pics from him, but I wouldn't hold my breath. He doesn't talk about it much.
