    His wife, Gertrude died on 21 November 2008 at the age of 104.

    Arthur Bliss saw service during the Great War - first with the 13th Battalion Royal Fusiliers, followed by service with the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards.

    He was wounded on the Somme in 1916 and was gassed at Cambrai 1918
