Army of the Cumberland...

    I just read that the Army of the Cumberland was considered the most modern and technologically advanced army of the Civil War. Does anyone know why?

    Ummm ... because of using Spencer Repeater for its great firing advantage over Springfields or Enfields etc. I'm not sure anyway !!
